HOAST dates have changed to October 18-19,2025
You must open your studio for HOAST weekend from 12-6, be ready to meet guests. its a great idea to have a friend help you if your studio is part of your private home.
We are printing 5000 17" x 22", full color maps. The front will be a full color map of Harlem marking all the studios, galleries, public art and notable landmarks. A copy of an older version can be downloaded below. The back will have a sample of some of the art works from different locations. Maps will be distributed to artists and available to visitors that weekend at select cafes around Harlem.
There will also be a HOAST app that visitors can use to find your location, see your work, read your statement, view your website and social media presence, and notify you. This will be open for the full year afterwards. You can also use the app to be in touch with other artists near you, or on the tour.
We will be advertising heavily: NYTimes listing, Time Out NY listing, Gallery Guide, Social Media, electronic billboards on subway platforms, and presentations at community board meetings (9,10 & 11).We encourage artists to do their own outreach as well.
For this HOAST, artHARLEM will focus efforts on inviting curators.
Volunteers are needed and welcome.
